Policies and Procedures

Liability Release:

It is the patient's responsibility to keep all health information up to date. You agree to inform the therapist of any changes in your health. There is no liability on the part of the therapist if you fail to do so.

I give my permission to receive massage therapy.

I understand that the massage is for therapeutic purposes only and is non sexual in nature.

I understand that massage is not a substitute for medical care.

If I experience pain or discomfort during my massage I will inform my therapist so proper adjustments can be made to my level of comfort.

I understand and agree to these terms and release my therapist from all liability relating to massage and bodywork.

Financial Responsibility:

Handcrafted Massage is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Payment is due at the time of service. HSA/FSA cards are accepted. Upon request, I can provide a detailed receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual insurance plan.

Cancelation Policy:

Frequent last minute changes to appointments greatly impact my small business. At this time I do not take a deposit for appointments. All I ask is for 24-hour notice in the event of a cancel or reschedule. Failure to respect the 24-hour notice policy will result in a $25 fee to be paid at or before your next appointment. No shows will be charged 50% of the service rate which must be paid before rebooking. This policy has no exceptions and will be strictly enforced.

Waitlist Policy:

Occasionally appointments become available due to cancellations or schedule changes. To help fill these openings fairly and efficiently, Handcrafted Massage maintains a cancellation/waitlist list.

How the Waitlist Works

- Clients on the waitlist will be contacted when an appointment becomes available that may fit their preferences.

- Available appointments are offered on a first-response basis and cannot be held without confirmation.

- Because openings often occur on short notice, clients will typically have a limited time to respond.

- Unless otherwise stated, waitlist offers will expire after 2 hours. If no response is received within that timeframe, the appointment may be offered to the next client.

- A response indicating interest does not guarantee the appointment if another client confirms first.

- Once an appointment is confirmed, standard cancellation and rescheduling policies apply.

Last-Minute Openings

Appointments that become available within 24 hours may be announced to multiple waitlist clients at the same time to ensure the opening can be filled promptly. In these situations, the appointment will be given to the first client who confirms availability.

Thank you for understanding. These guidelines help ensure appointment openings are offered fairly while allowing available times to be filled as efficiently as possible.
